How is this different from a deep clean?
Deep cleaning tackles normal household build-up — grease, limescale, dust. After builders cleaning tackles construction residue — fine plaster dust, paint splatter, silicone smears, sawdust, adhesive overspray. The techniques (HEPA vac, multi-pass wiping, solvent-safe products) and time needed are very different.
Do you clear away rubble, packaging, and debris?
No — rubble, offcuts, and builder's waste are not our scope. That is the builder's responsibility (or a skip). We clean what remains after the site has been cleared. If you need help organising waste clearance alongside cleaning, ask and we can recommend a local partner.
When should I book the after builders clean?
Book for the day after the builders finish — once all dust-generating work is complete and the site is cleared of tools and waste. For multi-phase projects, we can do a mid-phase clean (after plastering, before decoration) and a final clean — this gives much better final results.
How long does after builders cleaning take?
A single-room refurb takes 4-6 hours with 1-2 cleaners. A 2-3 bed whole-house renovation takes 1-2 days with a team of 2-3. A 4+ bed whole-house project typically needs 2-3 days. Fine dust comes back — so we often need a second pass 24 hours after the first.
Can you remove paint splatter and silicone smears?
Yes, within limits. Fresh paint splatter on tiles and glass comes off with the right solvent. Set paint on wood or delicate surfaces is a decorator fix, not a cleaner fix. Silicone smears on tiles usually lift with a specialist remover — we test a small area first.
Is the fine dust really that bad?
Yes. Construction dust settles inside cupboards, on light fittings, behind radiators, and in air vents. A normal clean misses 70%+ of it. Left alone, it recirculates for weeks and triggers coughs, allergies, and filter failures. A proper after-builders clean removes it properly the first time.
Do you have the right equipment for this?
